# Palm Island — Privacy Policy **Effective date:** 2026-04-24 **Last updated:** 2026-04-24 Palm Island is developed and published by Portal Dragon LLC ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what data the Palm Island mobile app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions about anything below, email **info@portaldragon.com**. --- ## 1. Data we collect When you play Palm Island, the app collects the following: ### Gameplay analytics (automatic) - Game events: starting a game, finishing a game, actions taken, duration played, final score, round reached, number of undos used. - Per-card data: which cards appeared in your deck, how often each was stored, and which side of each card was active at end-of-round. - App performance: errors and crashes that occur during play. We use this to understand how the game is played, balance difficulty, and fix bugs. ### Device identifiers (automatic) - An anonymous installation identifier generated by Unity's analytics SDK, tied to this app on this device. It resets if you reinstall the app. - Basic device information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, country. We do **not** collect your phone number, advertising ID, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data. ### Optional playtester email (you choose) - During playtesting, the Settings screen has an optional "Tester Email" field. If you enter an email there, it is attached to the gameplay events described above so we can tie feedback back to a specific tester. - This field is **optional**. Leaving it blank means no email is ever sent. - After public launch, this field will be removed from the Settings screen. --- ## 2. How the data is sent and stored All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Data is received and stored by: - **Unity Gaming Services (Analytics)** — Unity Technologies stores the gameplay events and device identifiers on servers operated by Unity. See the [Unity Services privacy policy](https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy). - **Portal Dragon LLC's private analytics sheet** — a copy of each completed game's summary is sent to a private Google Sheet owned by Portal Dragon LLC. Only authorized Portal Dragon personnel can read it. We do not sell, rent, or trade any collected data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. --- ## 3. Data saved on your device The following is stored locally on your device and never leaves it: - Your game preferences (volume, animation toggles, effects). - The current game's autosave so you can resume mid-game. - Your feat-unlock progress and high-score records. You can clear this at any time by uninstalling the app or by using the "Reset Save Data" button in the in-game Settings screen. --- ## 4. Your rights You can: - **Request deletion** of the analytics data we hold tied to your installation or playtester email. See the [Data Deletion Request](#data-deletion-request) section below for the exact process. - **Stop further analytics collection** by uninstalling the app, which invalidates the installation identifier. - **Play offline**. The core game does not require an internet connection; analytics simply fail silently when offline. For users in the European Union / UK: you have rights under the GDPR to access, correct, or erase personal data, and to object to processing. Children Palm Island is rated for general audiences but is not specifically designed for, or directed to, children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us at **info@portaldragon.com** and we will delete it. --- ## 6. Security Analytics data is transmitted over HTTPS. Data stored by Unity Gaming Services is protected by Unity's security practices. Data written to the Portal Dragon analytics sheet is protected by a shared-secret token and the sheet itself is access-controlled to Portal Dragon personnel only. No system is perfect. If you believe there has been a breach of your data in connection with Palm Island, please notify us immediately at **info@portaldragon.com**. --- ## 7. Changes to this policy We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add new analytics, remove the playtester email field, or change how data is stored. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, if the change is material, announce it in-app on next launch. --- ## 8. Contact **Portal Dragon LLC** Email: info@portaldragon.com Website: https://portaldragon.com/palmisland --- ## Data Deletion Request If you have played Palm Island and would like the data associated with your installation or playtester email removed from our analytics, use the process below. ### What we can delete - Gameplay analytics rows tied to the optional playtester email, if you entered one in the Settings screen. - Gameplay analytics rows tied to your Unity installation identifier, if you can tell us either the email you used or the approximate dates you played. ### What to send Email us at **info@portaldragon.com** with the subject line **"Palm Island data deletion request"** and include: 1. Any email address you used in the Palm Island Settings screen (if applicable). 2. Optional: the approximate date range you played (day/month/year ranges are fine — an exact date is not required). 3. A confirmation that you are the person who played on the device in question. You do not need to provide any other personal information. ### What happens next Within **30 days** of receiving your request: - We delete matching rows from our internal analytics sheet. - We submit a deletion request to Unity Gaming Services for any analytics events collected by their SDK that match your identifier. - We reply to the email address you sent from, confirming the deletion is complete. There is no charge for this, and we will not ask you to create an account or provide additional information beyond what is listed above. ### Uninstalling alone Uninstalling the Palm Island app from your device immediately stops any further data collection. Uninstalling does **not**, by itself, retroactively delete data already sent to our analytics — you still need to email us to request retroactive deletion.
